In 1972, Georg Huf of the German family of builders teamed up with
architect Manfred Adams to design a post and beam structure which
would become known as the Huf Haus. This style of property, which focuses on a large use of wood and glass, would be produced entirely to the clients specifications and then assembled by a Huf workforce.
It was not until ten years ago that the Huf Haus first came to the
UK. Since then the popularity of the style has increased
considerably. So much so that, in 2006, it was named third most
popular style of architecture in a survey conducted by Premier
Guarantee.
The appeal of the Huf Haus is not difficult to understand. Built
with the clients expectations in mind, its design also provides an
unrivalled breadth of space with wall to ceiling glazing and helps to
open the view on the nature surrounding the property, making the home
part of the living experience.
