Archive news can be found at the bottom of the page Green Projects Flourish In Shortlist For Top National Planning Award The shortlist for the 2007 National Planning Awards highlight the
number of UK wide projects that are dedicated to tackling climate
change and that put sustainability at their heart.The wide range of projects shows how serious planners, developers and communities are about putting the environment first. The Event will take place on Thursday 7 February in the London Hilton from 12.00pm. Baroness
Andrews, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, will present the
Silver Jubilee Cup to the winner.
Mike Ash, chief awards judge said: ?When people ask what are
planners doing to reduce CO2 emissions we can point to real,
practical examples of how hard we are all working to tackle climate
change. These awards recognise just how seriously planners take that
challenge and the broad range of ways in which success can be
achieved.?
There are 12 categories but one overall winner of the Silver
Jubilee Cup. The Judges have made both awards and commendations where
appropriate.
